Please help i think i might be in labour

Hi all.

Last night i started gettin tightening sensations going from my back to all round my bump.

This morning i woke up with terrible period like pains.

As the days gone on i keep getting what my mum thinks to be contractions. Im timing them and there coming at every 10 minutes. however i am not in any crippling pain. just very uncomfortable and slightly painful in my back and across my bump.

Im also getting a lot of niggling pains which i think could be my cervix.

Do you think this is it...or has anyone else experienced false alarms like this? xx

To be honest both of my previous labors started like this but i have heard some ladies say that they had the same type of pains and its been a false alarm (i'm never much help)
I would phone your maternity ward anyway hun because you never know fingers crossed for you and i'll be keeping an eye on your thread xxxx

Could be Braxton Hicks or early stages of labour. If they start to get more painful and become closer together then you are 'probably' in labour.Not unusual to spend 12 hours+ with mild to moderate contractions.
With my first my contractions started at 4:30am when I woke up and threw up (nice!) they were very mild and just gradually got stronger and more regular throughout the following 10 hours until they were about 4 minutes apart and I declared them "not painful" enough for going to hospital but OH dragged me in. Good job really as baby was born a couple of hours later!! So my labour from absolute start to absolute finnish was 23 hours almost exactly.

Thats The End Of Way I Went Into Labour.

I Rang In Hospital I Described The Pain, They Told Me To Take A Bath And Have Some Paracetamol. This Was About 7 In The Evening I Stay At Home Till The Next Morning And Went To Hospital About 2 In The Afternoon

I Think It Better Saying In The Hus As Lng As Possible. Just Keep The Hospital Informed Of Whats Happenin
