Achy 'period' type pains...

I was just wondering if this was normal at my stage of pregnancy?

Its been very mild and on and off for a couple of days. At night I feel it a little more, last night it woke me up. Again, it is very mild. Now it's gone again.

Tried to ring MW but all I ever get is the answerphone

I'm probaly over-reacting but my son was born at 32 weeks after I was diagnosed as having a UTI.

Plus I'm going away for a long weekend this eve and now wondering if it's a good idea!

What do you think?

Oh, me too. I was lying in bed this morning, and was trying to work out what the feeling I was having was, and realised it was like my period was about to start. Ouchy. I do have a mild UTI though, although it's not being treated.

I have said it before and will keep sayin it...I have always been told...same as marg yesterday that period like pains need checkin out, normal strechin pains deal with them, but anytin resembling a period after 24/26 weeks needs to be checked out, it may be nothing but better to be safe then sorry!

hi,

i was taken in last night with crampy period abdo pains, backache and tightenings of stomach.

the hosp are under the impression that i have an old UTI - yet urine was clear on tue when i saw MW. they have given me antibiotics and told me to go back IF any of the pains get worse. i would ring your hospital if you canr get hold of MW.

I don't think urine samples are very accurate.

I had an infection earlier on in pregnancy, I went to the day unit because I was having cramps and they took a urine sample and a swab, when I rang for results they only gave me the urine sample results and told me it was clear and I was okay, a couple of days later I got a letter through the post with a prescription for antibiotics saying the swab had shown an infection which needed treating. So the urine sample results turned out to be wrong!

I now also have a mild thrush type itch down below (sorry if tmi)! And also a Chronic pain in my shoulder. Could they be linked? I just don't know if it's anything to worry about or if I'm just being silly. :-S

I have tried, all I've got all day is the answerphone. No-one has got back to me. My only other option is to ring the delivery suite for advice but that's on a whole different level.
