what do you think started off labour for you?

Hi Girls,

So as some of you might already have gathered, Im pretty eager to get Lo out ASAP! yes I know, due date is still over a week away, but I am soooooooo impatient Im willing to try anything natural and not dangerous to get things moving.

Im just wondering, what do you think worked for you when labour kicked in? Was it pineapple, bouncing on a birthing ball, hot curries, pineapple, lots of walking, clary sage, raspberry leaf tea, sex...all/any or none of the above?
or something else I havent incuded?

Im really keen to know what seems to work for most people so please let me know!

Thanks!

i reckon they just come when they are ready regardless of our efforts.. much to my dissatisfaction! im so over the novelty of being pregnant already!

I heard that if your waters ar eready to go, then they will if you walk upstairs sideways like a crab! Let us know how you get on.. cos I will be trying all the tricks in a fortnight too!

ive walked and cleaned like a demon for the last week. nothing. tried nipple stimulation. nothing. got desperate yesterday and actually nothing except felt alot of pressure for a few hours after. spicy food is next on my list, but i hate it. I think im going to give it a day or two break and then try again. i just dont think kiddo is ready to come out yet. unfortunately. i hope my midwife will sweep my membranes at my appointment on friday, even tho i wont quite be 40 weeks. fingers crossed.

I've had sex multiple times a day in various positions, I run up the stairs everytime, and walk sideways back down them, I've gone for daily walks, spend time on my ball every day, eat at least 2 pineapples a week, have eaten chilli/curry, had showers, had naps, stayed active, done squats, done lunges, I drink 4 cups of RLT a day and I'm still here at 41+1!

Haha, based on the above, its lager and enchiladas that have the best chance of getting things moving!
