27weeks pregnant, kicks in the day?

hey, im 18 and im 27weeks pregnant, and im not seeing the midwife now until the 17th july... i am a bit worried aboout the movements of my baby, she used to be really active in the day and before i went to sleep at night, but now, over the last 3 days, her movements have decreased.. in the last 2 days i have only felt her kick 6times..
my midwife (when i last saw her) told me to start monitoring the movements as of 27weeks. my midwife and my sister have both told me that i should feel the baby move at least 10 times a day. and i used to feel her kicking away all the time, now shes not kicking more than 3times a day.
what should i do?
is this normal?
im just worried as a first time mum, thats all. i would be grateful if someone could get back to me with some info please. thankyou all. amie xxx

I would call your MW and see what she says, it never hurts to get it checked even just for your own reassurance

Phone ASAP - it may be nothing at all but just incase there is something wrong its best to phone. You say you've not felt much for 2 days now and i personally wouldnt leave it any longer to contact someone. Its better to be safe then sorry and it will atleast relax you once you've spoken to someone and been checked out. Let us know xx

I agree that doesn't sound like much movement at all, although she could be kicking your back which i dont think you would feel anyway, it depends on what position she is in.

Phone the mw, they do sometimes get into funny positions and you cant feel everything, but you cant know that till youve been checked out.

I'd deffo phone the midwife. I had this, he went really quiet one day and I had nothing and totally freaked out. They took me in for monitoring and it registered that he was kicking and it turned out I had an anterior placenta and just by chance that day he'd flipped round and was kicking against it instead of to the side so don't be scared or feel stupid lol, because I certainly did but they were so nice about it.

I just thought I would let you know that my wife has been experiencing very similar decreased movements as you. She is currently 28weeks and although the baby has always been pretty quiet with movements the last few days the baby had gone really quiet. Luckily on Sunday we had a 4D scan booked and we saw on the screen for over 10min how active the baby was without my wife feeling it. It was also lying funny with its bum down and both legs and arms near the baby's face and therefore to me looked like he couldn't kick out that much anyway. She did feel a couple of goods kicks during the scan.
I think the lack of movements was the way the baby was lying the hot temperatures we have been experiencing and it's during these weeks the baby really starts to add the baby fat so it's common for the baby to be slightly quieter.

If my wife says she hasn't felt the baby I speak to the baby and blow raspberries on her stomach and then normally get a boot in the face to say get lost.

I would say get some professional advice on this as we would have if we didn't have the 4D scan booked which eased our concerns.

I hope all is well with your baby and soon you'll be feeling the kicks again.
