Help. This is confusing me.

I don't know if anyone read my other thread about the small gushes I was getting about a week ago, I went to the hospital and she wasn't really sure if my waters were broken or not but came to the conclusion they hadn't.

Today I woke up like usual and I was cooking in the kitchen and felt a smallish gush come out, then 5min later another one, have had dripping since and got a feeling like something needs to come out. However, when I went to the toilet I had clear wetness and a brownish kind of discharge.

Should I ring the hospital?? Anyone had any experience with this and what was it?

Fiance leaving for work at 2 (it's 1:15pm) so dunno weather to tell him to leave it and take me to hospital.

Anything that causes you concern should be checked out.... get him to take you to hospital to get it checked out.... better safe then sorry hun x

i would go bk to hosp again hun as this to me sound like waters have gone and your lo has had a poo in the water. get checked out just to be sure. good luck

I would go asap. Sounds to me like you are gonna have your baby today. I lost my water in trickles.

Okay so I rang the Delivery Suite and they said sounds like my waters have gone so they told me to come straight in.

When I got there was seen by a Midwife who was SO rude and I actually walked out in tears after. I'd took a pad with me that I'd had the gushes on and showed her and she said the brownish colour just looks like discharge, I said I had clear fluid come out as well(not so noticeable now as sort of dried up on the pad) but I said I'm concerned about the colouring and she just said it's normal discharge and then started questioning me asking if I have symptoms of thrush or a urine infection.

She then asked to see the pad I had on which I'd JUST changed from the previous one, and so there wasn't much on it, when she saw it she just looked at me like I was a complete idiot and said, 'No the waters have not gone you haven't got anything best for you to go home.'

I was so upset, I was standing there and the woman was just talking to me like I know nothing. I had gushes of fluid this morning what does she expect me to do? I want to be sure my baby is okay! Plus this is my first.

So I never even got checked out at all and I've just noticed she wrote in my notes not confirmed waters have gone.

I'm so annoyed and just feel like an idiot!


Also she said if they had gone I'd be wetting all over the place and soaking through continuous pads!! Thought they could just trickle out?!

Mine just trickled, in fact I did not even notice. I would go back and demand another MW, even if you are not normally confrontational.

they can just trickle, my last I kept walkin round town as normal and his head jsut kept reblockin the hole, if I had stayed sat still in one place, Im sure it would have gushed out!

you really need to go an see a different midwife, no way can you let her get away witt that attitude!

I would go back to the hospital and ask for a second opinion. It's totally unacceptable
