I have one of these, got it second hand on eBay for a bargain price (defo worth keeping your eye out for bargains on there)

I'm really glad I got it, but of course no baby to test it on yet- I've had a play with it though and it seems like it'll be just the right sensitivity to pick up tiny breathing movements etc- it has variable sensitivity too so you can play about and get it just right for your particular baby / cot / mattress

I've purchased one as well ... won't be using it until the baby arrives but since we are planning on leaving the baby in her/his own room from the beginning, it puts my mind at ease. Not the cheapest thing - but it will be worth it, I think.
