Question

Questions About Colic

I'm afraid my baby might end up with colic and I had never even heard of it before I got pregnant. I heard it is hereditary?! I didn't have it, and no one in my family ever has (that I know of), but my boyfriend did until he was 6 months old!!
So, I want to know if anyone else's baby has had colic?

Do you know what causes it? Besides just the air inside them?
How did you help your baby overcome it?
Alot of bottles say they help with it.. is there any that you would recommend?

Thanks ahead to anyone who can give me any advice, it is greatly appreciated.

Well I have the anti colic bottles with the air vent teats, Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles and loads of people have SWORN by them. A lady I know had her little girl and she had colic, She switched her to the Tommee Tippee bottles and she said it went more or less instantly!

Let's just hope they work! A colicky baby is no fun!

lindam do really good anti colic bottles, expensive but good.

Colic only lasts for the first 3 months, after that it eases off, to be honest i wouldnt even worry about it yet, it might not even happen

If you do find that colic becomes a concern for your lil one, in addition to the type of bottles you choose, you can also give them "Gripe Water" which helps tremendously.

See.. some people have told me it was hereditary, some have told me it's from stress during pregnancy.. I think people around me dont know what they are talking about
