Weight Gain

Has anyone else put on as much weight as me I feel absolutely awful!! My starting weight before pregnancy was usually around 12 stone and when I weighed myself this morning I now weigh 15stone. I am 38 weeks and 5 days but now I feel so awful and no wonder OH doesn't come near me and says awful things to me. I thought I had only really but on weight around my tummy (mainly baby weight) but that cant be the case if I have put on 3 stone!!!!

you only have 8 days to go!
it may feel like tons of weight, but it sounds quite normal to gain that much! everyone is different!

and you should slap your OH for making comments to you! you're carrying his baby, and he shouldn't be mean to you about weight gain! it only makes it worse!

yer slap him!! How dare he put you down. Have you told him how upset it makes you when he comments like that?

Dont worry hun.. I have heard quite a few women gain 4-5 stone in pregnancy.

I have put on a lot of weight as well and it's mostly in my belly. I think it's quite common, it will come off so try not too worry. My concern with what you wrote is with your OH what is he saying too you? Is he insulting your weight? If so that's not acceptable in the slightest. You're having a baby, your body will put on weight, everyone puts on different amounts.

I am not sure how much i have gained, but I am sure it's probably not that much different from you. You haven't got long to go plus your oh is out of order for being mean like that!

i know how you feel. before the pregnancy i usualy averaged at 11 and a half stone in early pregnancy i got down to 10 and half. then now im 33weeks at im 14 stone. it is too much in my eyes but it dont look like ive gained much

I'm not sure exactly, but I know I've put on a LOT too. Remember, it's not just baby weighing you down - there's fluid in there aswell which will account for some of the weight gain. And also you've got the placenta & any pregnancy bloating adding to the scales.

Try not to get upset about it hun. You haven't long to go and a LOT of the extra weight will fall off you in the days & weeks after baby is born. It's not forever and we're all in the same boat and feeling HUGE right now. So know exaclty how you feel..

big tree trunk legs....... OH wouldn't dare and call me names though if anything he gives me more compliments now even though I look like crap......... U need to kick this man of yours into shape, very hurt for you xxx You don't need to hear any nasty words in ur condition....... One name for a man that can do that 'COCK'

I was 12 stone - had a m/c and got pregnant again at 13 stone - am now 18 stone 12lbs -- I think i have gained for everyone (I am too kind!!)

My hubby has gained 2 stones himself and so has my mum!

Even some of my cats have filled out a bit haha.

I reckon by the time i've had the baby and the water weight starts going I'm looking to losing 3-4 stone with hard work.

Mommymoo82, we’re due on the same day and we’ve gained about the same, so far I’ve put on 44 lbs. I was 118 before I got pregnant and now I’m 162, most of it is on my belly but this past week or two my hands and face are swelling. I’m not happy but we’ll lose it once baby comes
