| Braxton Hicks contractions are also known as “false labor.” Sometimes women have trouble distinguishing between Braxton Hicks contractions and the contractions of “true labor.” Braxton Hicks are irregular contractions in which the muscles in your uterus will contract (tighten) and can occur as early as your second trimester; however Braxton hicks are more frequent in the third trimester of pregnancy. These types of contractions are preparing your body for true labor.
Back pain and round ligament pain are discomforts of pregnancy. If you are having chest pain, you need to have that checked out by your midwife or physician. |
