I had the numbness and was told that it was the way the baby was laying on a nerve, it is not sciatica, you would soon know about that! It never affected me having an epi......but ask your Doctor about your leg just to set your mind at rest hun!

Thanks Tam,

I know its not saciatica coz i have no back pain whats so ever, the consultant said it was a back problem and that if it didnt go away after teh birth i would need to see a ciropractor (sp?) but i found that strange being as i have no pain, its just tingley and numb.

It was only a small patch just above my knee on my thigh, but now its pretty much all of the outside of my thigh, it went really cold the other day but has been ok since.

Not sure wether to mention it or nor, only got 2 weeks left of the pregnancy anyway (i hope!) so i might just wait it out and see what happens after

I had it on the side of my thigh and it travelled down my leg to just above the knee, but all on the side......it felt like that feeling you get when your leg goes dead with pins and needles......know what I mean? It was a very weird feeling more than anything else, and I also got the cold feeling. But I was assured it was Alfie on a nerve.

yeah thats exactly what i feel, hopefuly just the baby on a nerve then like you say, it does sound the same as what you had.

It doesnt bother me walking or anything so i will leave it and see what happens
