BAD night! Serious backache

Toddled off to bed between 11.30/12 last night! I was exhausted ...

Just past 1.30 I woke, again just past 2.30, and again just past 3.30 and finally woke AGAIN around 4.30 when I gave up - basically nearly on every hour! Grabbed my big fleece and pillow with a hot choccie and curled up feeling rather sorry for myself on the sofa but my back KILLED every time I woke up. Still have it now serious backache, top of my legs and around my tummy! Not so bad when Im up I guess but once Im down I feel it so much more making getting up impossible without feeling like I want to cry ... Inbetween all that plenty of trips to the bathroom we had curry last night so could be that but surely wouldn't cause the ache too?

What about no contractions Layla (dont think)? I felt a lil out of breathe and sicky on top is that a possible sign too? although I put that down to the fact I was exhausted and there i was up and down every hour wanting sleep.

contractions dont always come right away

Labour can start with back ache and pains in the legs, it can start with peroid pains or it can start with waters breaking.

On charlie my waters broke but then i had no pain for a few hours altho i was in labour.

Phone your MW hun and explain to her what your feeling, see what she says

I had really bad backache with DS, thought it was because I needed a wee. I put off going to the loo because I thought it would wake DD, when I finally went my contractions started immediately. Definately can be early labour, sometimes with your first this can go on for days though so try to get as much rest as possible (don't overdo things) and eat lots to keep your energy up.
