Leg cramps

So last night I woke up about 6 times to this extreme pain in my left calf. It hurts like you wouldn't believe. I could barely move my leg. It's now 8am so about 7hours later from when i noticed it and it still hurts! It hurts to walk or move it or even while just sitting here it hurts.

I know that your suppose to stretch your calf out to relieve the pain...but its NOT working. Do you girls know of any other tips to get rid of it?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I've never had this ever before. It's not red or swollen, but a tad tender. Should it hurt this long if its only a muscle cramp? I've had blood clots in my lungs and ovarian veins in my last two pregnancies...should i be concerned of a clot or does it seem just like the leg cramps you ladies get??

Any advice would be great thanks!

I get this when pregnant with a boy never girls dunno why lmao anyhow what helps me is walking on a cold floor thats about the only thing that works .....are u still on bedrest ? if so are u wearing support stockings to prevent clots ?

Thanks hun. I've heard the cold floor..but it's not helping. I've got hard wood floors and they are freezing right now lol and i've got no socks on. Not on bedrest anymore. Havent been for a few weeks. But i do have Ted stockings that i'm "suppose" to wear.......

. But they go up to my thighs and are a pain in my arse!! I havent been wearing em b/c i've been moving around.

Btw....when you get one.....how long does it usually last for?

Normally the cold floor helps ..but about 30 mins max if u are gettin them loads i would ring and check with all meds your on it maybe a side effect sorry i am not much help

Thanks hun. 30 mins max/??? really wow! It comes and goes that fast....? yeah i'm on the same meds i've been on with this pregnancy and my last one.....and never had it so i dont think that would do it. I guess I'll wait and see. Thanks hun!

Try increasing your fluid intake honey or having a banana before bed did the trick for me, never had cramps with my daughter but this bumps a boy...........lol xxx

I use to get it all time and i just rolled around trying to strech my leg out.

I frequently wake DF up in the night coz of my cramps!! I've not been able to find anything that gets rid of them yet

i had the same pain just 2 nights ago and still hurts i felt in so much pain could not move my leg only thing was i had cramp in both legs xx
