When to put in the carseat!

I've been thinking about this a lot. When are you all putting the carseat in your car? Are you going to have it assembled and all ready to go, or just do that at the hospital? I honestly feel a bit silly driving around with a car seat and no baby lol.

I think we're going to put ours in next week. I'll feel silly driving around with no baby too..... but at least we'll be prepared!

Here in the states, we are required to have the car seat installed properly prior to the release of our baby. I think that's great! Statistics say 85% of car seats are installed incorrectly by first time parents. Most hospitals recommend taking the car seat to a police station or firehouse for proper installation. With that being said, I haven't done it yet but will this weekend.

mine came already installed When ever we go out of town (which is frequently) we put the car seat in with the base, "just in case" I go into labor so that we're already prepared. When we're in town though, it stays in the front room by the door

LOL I'm sure I'll easily fall into that 85%! Yeah I saw on the tv the other night to take it to the fire station to have it installed, probably will make my OH do that lucky him

We put ours in a few weeks ago but we feel a bit foolish about it. We went to starbucks today and the barista looked in the backseat and said are you missing a baby? I was like he should be here sometime soon!
