c-section scheduled

hello girls,

just got back from the hospital and he is still breech, told them we dont want to go through with ECV so the consultant doctor scheduled us a c-section for 39 weeks on 18th June, which is the day after my birthday. We are going on the 17th for the pre-op and 18th June 7.45 am for the operation.

I lost my plug and had my show 2 days ago and had been leaking a bit of water. The doctor had one of the portable ultrasound things in her office, said there isnt much water around the baby and that he is big but not huge big, so my GTT shouldnt be too high.

They told me they should have my Glucose Tolerance Test results this afternoon and if they are too high, they will bring the date forward, but it should be ok.

I have come to terms with c-section now, the doctor told me i can still brestfeed as normal so, i have no other choice do i..

That's good news that you know what is happening at least hon, and that LO is not too big.
Not long to go now then eh?? Hopefully your GTT results will be fine.

Thats good that you have a date for when its going to happen now, not that long to go and you will have your lo with you.

Hope your GTT results will come back alright.

Thank you ladies. ECV is External Cephalic Version, when the baby is breech, at 37 weeks they try to turn the baby manually but it has risks and only works about 50% of the time.
