If you've scheduled an induction

How long from when you schedule it is your induction date? I'm going to try and schedule one when I go in on Friday and was wondering how far in the future it usually is, my edd is Monday

Gosh... I'm not sure of the normal protocol for an elective induction. My doctor scheduled my induction for June 10th (39 weeks) at my 36 week appointment. So, it looks like she scheduled it 3 weeks in advance.

My son was due on April 15th and if he wasn't born by then, my doctor said that they would schedule an induction for April 20th. I had an appointment scheduled on my due date, and we probably would have made induction plans then.

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping it won't be too long! Zoey, are you having a c-section, why did they schedule your induction so far in advance?

if everything is well in your pregnancy, you wont be able to book it until at least 10 days after your due date (12 depending on area you live)

I haven't seen many go too far past their due date over here in the states. My mom is going out of town June 9th as we were thinking this baby would be much earlier! My husband even bought me a mother's day necklace with birthstones for December (my 3 yr old) and May (thinking this baby would already be here) hahaha!

I am gonna talk to my doctor about it tomorrow at my appointment. I am anxious to have this baby but I think if it were really to happen right now I would be freaking out haha
