Hey hun, you're not alone. Unfortunately I can't offer any advice because I am hoping for some too. I pretty much experience the same for most of the day. For example I've just got back from a relitively short walk to my kids school and back and I am in tears with the pain in my pelvis and hips. I feel like an 80 year old woman most of the time and there really isn't anything I seem to be able to do to ease it at all. The aches and pains are pretty much there all day, sometimes not so bad, if I sit with my feet up and legs together, but then other times I get really sharp twinges that make my legs buckle under the pain and litteraly bring tears to my eyes. Like you I also struggle at night. We turn over without really thinking about it but of course get woken up rather quickly when we do from the pain.

Sorry you are feeling so crappy, you're not alone It's got worse for me in the last week, so I'm going to mention it at my midwifes appointment next wednesday, however when I mentioned it last time I was fobbed off with "oh the aches and pains of pregnancy are never easy" speech.

Naimi xx

im lucky tho, mine isnt to bad in the day pain wise, its just resticted (sp?) i can also open my legs fine without pain if i do it slowly, i know many cant.

It only really hurts when i get in to bed each night, my bed is high so i have to swing my legs round to get in, not nice

not long to go! im hoping a few days after the birth it will all be gone

Wobbles, a girl at my aquanatal class has this, when she described the cracking sound I had no idea it could be like that. The MW has referred her to the physio and she wears a bump support band to help spread the weight of her bump away from her pubic bone. She said she finds sleep with two pillows between her knees helps and she shouldn't take wide steps as puts more strain on the ligaments around the pelvis.
If it's unbearable walking I'm sure some girls get crutches to help. You don't want to suffer any more than you have to

((hugs))

Thanks Lucy - I sleep with pillow between my legs doesn't help much when it comes to turning & getting up!

Seen MW and Ive to go for a brace fitting tomorrow - Im assuming this is the band your talking about? I have no major problem walking around ok its not great but I can cope with that and Im wondering if the trip into town then to the hosp will be worth it - if I need it for sleeping its not sounding like id be too comfy wearing a brace/support band? Hmmmm

Anyone know excatly what these are?

Uhmmm.. Not really... Guessing something like this to help keep the weight from your pelvis. You can get similar ones to help support the back etc.

Hope you feel better soon Wobbles. I have heard that the support belts Babybean suggested are loads of help!
