I'm Currently Feeling:

engagement or baby kicking low

So at my 26 week appt. my ob said that the baby was head down ....

but now im getting lots of lil kicks sort of like punches cause they're not too strong ---

do u think the baby turned and is now feet down even though most are head down by now... or is he starting to engage--i can feel him a lil less than half way down there and when im sitting down feels like there's kicking or pushing between my leg and lower stomach sort of like he's trying to get comfortable down there and the way im sitting is uncomfortable for him----but i still get lots of strong kicks up high like in the ribs and all that---sometimes i can feel the kicks up high while feeling the lil punching like ones down there

what do u all think ?
Is anyone experiencing this?

Yeah same here, mine has been all over. Think lil one still has plenty of room and time for circus play at this stage.

Your doctor can probably tell you which way the baby is position by doing leopold's manuever where they feel for presentation by "feeling" your abdomen, though most just grab an ultrasound to locate the presentation. Good luck to you.

Princess I was reading an article online: http://pregnancy.baby-gaga.com/calendar/week25

It said that it's possible for baby to turn at any point after 15 weeks though not "engaged" yet. So your lil one could def be facing down though you still have a long way to go. And it's possible for them to move in and out of this position as the weeks go by.

HTH, thought I'd come back and post the link for ya.

Mine has been head down and engaged for a while now. I always tend to feel bigger movements nearer the top, and softer movements down in my hips. MW said that the softer movements are probably his hands, whereas the bigger movements are probably feet, elbows and knees. x
