Back from Labour ward

Hello, Im just back from the labour ward.

Had a very emotional day,

The midwife came out to see me at 2pm today. My blood pressure was 145 and babys heart rate was any where from 180 to 202. So she called labour ward and advised me to go in immeditaley. I had to have bloods taken and drop them in the lab also.

I was then taken into labour ward and strapped to the monitor and the blood pressure machine for two hours. I was monitored consistantly through out and babys heart rate didnt drop and still was being monitored from 168 to 206. So at 4:40 I was taken off had to give a water sample and then wait to see the doctor.

The doctor advised I was to stay in and be put back on the monitor at 6:15pm to see if babys heart rate dropped at all and protein was found in my water but they don't suspect pre Emcalpsia at this stage.

So 6:15 came round and I was nervously strapped back up as if babys heart rate hadnt dropped I would of had to stay in over night. Any ways, as soon as i was strapped up babys heart rate kept beating any where from 130-150, and upto 170 with movment. I was so releaved as I was able to return home.

Three midwives have felt babys position today. Two that I seen at 2pm said i was 3/5 Engaged and when i went to labour ward she thought she was able to move babys head from side to side but did say it could possibly be her shoulders.

I don't think baby is going to come any where near her due date if this is the case, Im going to go well over i'd imagine. Non the less at least every thing calmed down again today

I have a midwife coming to see me on Thursday and then I see one Wednesday next week so we'll see how things go.

Just thought id keep you all posted. Xx
