Yet another contractions question - sorry!

I've been getting contractions since yesterday evening but up until this afternoon they were quite irregular. They're now coming around every 7mins, although some are every 5mins, are quite painful (I can still talk through them though) but are only lasting 40secs max.

Soooo.... my question is, will they get stronger and longer as things progress?

They should get stronger longer and closer together ....if u are at all worried that things are taken too long ring delivery and they should have u in to be checked and to put ur mind at rest dont worry about pestering them they are paid to see you as many times as u need

thanks! I just thought of something else I meant to ask lol! Some of the contractions are much milder than others and shorter - do I count these too or just ignore them?

I would probably be feeling the exact same way. Sounds like it could be the real deal especially if they're getting painful!

dont leave it too long to get to hospital, my contractions were only 30 seconds long and all different times apart and that was even when i was pushing my baby out! they still told me not to go in, and by the time i was in that much pain i didnt care if they wanted me there or not i just went, i was 8cm dilated! couldnt have any pain relief! wishing you all the luck with your labour x
