ECV booked

Hi ladies, been to the hospital for a scan today, and as we knew, baby is still breech, one leg under him and they can't find the other leg, as he is facing backwards it's probably "behind" him, so scanner couldn't get to it! The hard ball I feel under my ribs is the back of the babies head. All the measurements are fine, on the bigger side of average, he's about 6lb at the moment, and they reckon about 8lb born.
Anyway, the consultant (who also scanned me...!) booked me in for ECV next Tuesday as a matter of course, and we can go away and have a think, if we don't want the ECV we just call and cancel it. I think I'm going to go ahead and try it, the Dr seemed very nice, and was reassuring. She said 50% chance of it being successfull and if he does turn he won't have much room to turn back......plus if I didn't go for it, I would be lying there on the operating table thinking "what if....." If the ECV is not successfull they schedule C-Section for the week after that, that's only 2 weeks away!!!!!

Thank you Soon2b6, my DH isn't keen on me having it done, but says it's ultimately my choice. I just really want to avoid C-section, and even if it doesn't work I feel that because I tried I'll be in a "better place" mentally to go ahead with a section.
If he turns I'll be terrified to move at all, just incase he flips back! x

Oooh good luck! I'm lucky, it seems my LO has spun himself into head down now but I was in 2 minds when ECV was being thrown about, I really don't like the sound of it, but like you've said, it's that or a section and you don't want to be thinking 'what if'.
