I havent started doing them yet, my OH checked my cervix the other night and it was no where near ready, going to check again at 38 weeks and go from there. I have started to take primrose oil tablets to try to ripen my cervix up ready

I'm Currently Feeling:  | ok this might be TMI but my OH has been checking my cervix regular for about 2 and half weeks and over that time its gone from closed and hard to where he said 'it feels like flesh now and he can get two fingers in the hole?!?!' i haven't ever felt my cervix cos my belly is so huge i cant get my hand down there, so i don't know what he's talking about, does it sound at all right.
I swear my brain has gone to mush and no one would believe this is my 3rd baby in the last 5 years. I can't remember anything!
What is he meant to be feeling for and doing etc. I have this step by step thing but its nice to hear it from someone who's done the DIY sweep.
I can't try it till after this weekend as i don't want to go into labour while he's away for a few days. | | | | Status: Offline

| that does sound about right yeah.
Your cervix should be soft and stretchy, if he can insert 2 fingers in to it then great, once in he has to move them around stretching the cervix and seprating it from the membranes.
But only do this is your cervix is low, if it is still high or far back i dont think it iwll work, thats where i went wrong on my last pregnancy

x | According to a few sites I have been looking at the pineapple myth only works if you have a large amount to release what ever it is to bring on labour. In which it said to take true effect you would have to eat a minimum of 7 pineapples on one intake but it gives you the runs. |

As far as i can make out, if its low then you will be able to feel it right away, if its high/far back then it takes some digging about to reach it lol

I had one last nite, had to force it down as it was so hot made me feel sick, but needs must and apart from getting more bh's nothing else has happened!!!!!!!! |
