I'm Currently Feeling: | hiya, new to this site but wanted to ask a question about the whole 'trying to induce yourself' topic. I am currently 36 weeks 2 days preggo. When is it safe to try these methods your all talking about?
i was thinking anytime after 37 weeks as the baby is considered full term then, what you ladies think?
I am so done with pregnancy now! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Think its personal choice. Personally Ive been drinking raspberry tea for 2 weeks! 1st week 1 tea a day then 2 a day ... I had 3 yesterday mind.
Most girls try the safer myths at 37 weeks.
What would you want to try?
And welcome to BabyandBump |

| Yeah, I started using raspberry tea at about 36 weeks although some things you could probably start sooner than that.. None of us seem to be having much luck with bringing on the labour anyway! lol. Most things won't work unless baby and you are ready to start with. I think the raspberry leaf tea is the only one you should avoid using too early in the pregnancy. x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks for the welcome.
I am willing to try anything!!!
I found a midwifes forum on the internet and they were all talking about membrane sweeps. Some of them were discussing how to do it at home and one of them gave a step by step on how to do it, so I (well my hubby and a pair of trusty rubber gloves) will be trying that if he's not here before the 20th! Next week I am going to be eating a fresh pineapple a day, and getting-it-on nightly!
38 weeks I'm planning on doing the brown sugar and water thing and if that fails, week 39 sees me doing the castor oil cocktail.
All the above along with a hour on my exercise ball, running up and down the stairs 5 times, and doing 20 squats daily from now on.
Do i sound desperate? | | | | Status: Offline

| lol glad im not the only one who will be doing DIY sweeps!
With the pinapples, i heard that its only the middle (stem) that has the chemicals in to induce labour, not sure how true that is tho

I'm Currently Feeling: | your going to do them too? fab. They are meant to work really well if you spend enough time doing it and get it right. how hard can it be right?
I didn't think you were meant to eat the middle bit of the pineapple? i always throw that bit away. | | | | Status: Offline

| yeah my OH does them for me, he did them alot on my last pregnancy, it worked to a point, brought on contractions but they were not regular and didnt go in to anything, hopeing this time will be diffrent.
The middle bit of the pinapple is that hard bit isnt it? i dont normaly eat that either but from wehat i have read thats teh bit with teh emzines in that can induce labour, so i will be starting to eat it now lol
