Has she had her baby yet? I know she was due same time as me 23rd November, hasnt been on for a few days?

Hi ladies, here I am, still waiting, no baby arrived yet and it's driving me bonkers!

I went to the doctor yesterday and he checked me (I'm 4 cm dilated now and 100% effaced and the baby is at -1 station). And while he was checking me he said ''I'm going to try a little trick to get you going'' and then just without warning he did the sweep thing you guys have been talking about, and DAMN, that hurt like the dickens!

So I have been cramping a little bit, just like mild period pains, but nothing I would call labour.

So I have an induction date of December 4th, I hope the little one shows up before then though.

Thanks for thinking of me guys, I have my mom and dad and brother over here now, so things are a bit hectic. But I do try and come on here everyday, I just love this place.

Blimey he shoudl have warned you! I was behind a curtain when Imi had hers done and my toes were curled for an hour

My husband said that the doctor probably didn't give me any warning so I wouldn't have time to stress out about it or something. But still. That was pretty rough.

Crossing my fingers for a November baby, really don't want to go into December, then it will feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER.

4cm isnt bad though at least if you start contractions your getting a bit of heard start lol

sounds like you've got a good start--hope u go into labor soon....

4cm is good, your well on your way and now you have had a sweep it should really help things along..Sorry that it hurt you, they are not meant to really.

Thanks ladies, does anyone know if there's any sort of timetable on the sweep method? Like, if it's gonna work it's gonna work within 24 hours or something like that? My doctor isn't very chatty, so I didn't really get a lot of info on it.

And yes, I guess I do have a bit of a headstart, a 4 cm headstart when I get going at last
