x | Yer that would be great.
I want an electric pump but decided I would wait off until I know its for me so will use a manual pump that terrie has offered me an see how it goes then spend out. Said to OH if I feel pressured by it or uncomfy or whatever because I have no idea right now I would stop but at least I will try and hes happy. He'd really like me to for all the right reasons so I should try ... and for my baby too of course.
An terrie daft mare lol x | | | | Status: Offline

| i had huge amount of pressure from MW's when i had Charlie and i wasnt 100% comfy with it to start with, so when they started on me i gave up, im so stuborn so the more they pushed the more i told them to get stuffed lol
On Ethan i didnt even bother coz i still had Charlies expericance in my mind, but on Coby i really wanted to, he was tongue tied so it was really difficult to get him to latch on right and it hurt like hell, i didnt get hardly any suport from MW's then so i just gave up.
This time i will have the suport from everyone here, im expecting him to be tongue tied too, Ethan is aswell as myself, but im ready to push through the pain this time and put my pride aside lol

I'm Currently Feeling: | maybe i should explain how i felt about breastfeeding..
i breastfed with rhys for around 2 weeks ish, i forget the exact number of days.. i found it difficult for a number of reasons. number 1 being that Colin got all the cuddles from Rhys and could bond with him whereas Rhys only wanted me for food. this made me feel awful, i felt like i couldnt bond with Rhys, cuddle him or play with him, because every time he 'smelt' me he wanted food. reason number 2 is that Rhys was feeding literally ALL the time, every time i went near him he cried for food just because he knew it was 'available'. reason number 3 is that my family members were uncomfortable being in the room when i fed Rhys therefor i had to leave the room, even in my own house!
in the end i tried expressing but with a hand pump it just got too exauhsting(sp). by the time i finished expressing a few ounces Rhys was hungry again! so it took twice as long, first expressing, then actually feeding him.
when i switched to formula Rhys' appitite went down and i concluded that he just wasnt getting enough from me to sustain himself.
but when i look back on it, using formula was much more tiring than breastfeeding. you had to steralise every bottle, boil the kettle and leave to cool, make up bottles of water for the fridge, then when Rhys was hungry boil the kettle again, add powder and stand the bottle in a jug to warm up! by which time Rhys was screaming because he was hungry and i was flustered trying to wish the kettle to boil faster! the night feeds were the worst, when we were all tired and we would have to wait for the bottle to heat up.. grrrr!
this time i am breastfeeding weather i like it or not! i am going to stick it out.. all i have to remember is how much hastle bottle feeding is!!! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | This has never been something I had to decide about. If I can produce enough for my baby, and s/he latches on, then we are off. I know it can be difficult and painful, but I always felt that it would be sooo worth it.
Terrie, for me that thought of bonding didn't enter my mind, as I can offer my baby something no one else can, how much more of a bond can that be? For me it is the biggest and best bond ever. Maybe I have no idea what I am on about since I have never been through this, so please don't think I am being rude or what not. | | | | Status: Offline
