Well MW said I should still be counting 10 yet Ive read and been told baby doesn't move around much when labour is approaching? How true is this for anyone whos given birth? Nothing at all more active for so long then nothing? Quite worrying thought if they don't tell you this I thought?

I havent heard that they go quiet near birth, but i have noticed today that my little man isnt moveing very much.

My bump size has gone down too, just made a thread about it

ive heard/read that the movements slow down i put it down to not having much room to move about now they are bigger

With Alisha I was in hospital for 3 hrs + 48hrs B4 I had her.

Normally after breakfast she would wake up and be very active, but on the Sat morning she didnt move. When I got to work she still hadn't moved ( totally unusal) and by 10 am I was in a panic 'cos she'd always been active by this time. I phoned hossie and left work straight away ( leaving pxs to be seen, but who cares baby comes first). One of the girls drove me to hossie ( just up the road) and someone phoned OH.

I was put on CTG monitor, given iced water, and after an hour she finally decided to move, even MW commented that she was sleepy I was really bricking it.

I then spent further hour on monitor until they were happy to send me home.


Felt crappy all day Sunday, midnight my waters broke, 10 hrs later she was born. MW said that she was probably resting on the Saturday, ready to arrive.

I have heard they go quiet near birth, but have never experienced it, I had 2 very active little buggers, infact with Jade my induction had to be posponed til the next day as she was so active!
