Birthing plan or not it would seem!

Well I let it go over my head but OHs reaction made me wonder!

Before I moved my old MW said about a birthing plan and some mini breathing classes with her then of course I had to swap MWs and first appointment was terrible and one in the week ... I asked about a birthing plan and she told me there was really no need its all quite simple and can change anyway < end of convo - No birthing plan.

This is first bubs too of course so totally blind to it all and what would even go down in one & very little kn owledge of whats available for me how it can help etc.

OHs discusted. Should I be?

all my birth plans have never gone to plan.

On charlie i wanted to labour and birth in the birthing pool soi worte that down, i did get in the pool but the pain was to much coz she was back to back so i had to get out at 5cm and have an epi.

On Ethan i put the same, wanted a birthing pool but when i got the hospital it was already in use so i then changed it to walking and keeping active as much as possible....again pain got to much and i ended up on teh bed with an epi lol

On Coby i put i wanted an epi, i knew i would need one, but i made it clear i didnt want the cord cut untill it had stopped plusating....didnt go to plan, he came out so quick and was blue so they had to wisk him off to get oxgyen, the cord needed to be cut for his sake.

On this one im putting all drugs welcome lol and again that i dont want the cord cut untill its stopped plusating, but i know that it might not work out that way.

oooh i see, sorry not with it today.

Well on your first baby they really should take the time to go through this with you, 9 times out of 10 it will all go out of the window but its still nice to put guidlines in.

I have a tempate one in the back of my notes, have you got one there?

Thinking about it, the only thing that went to plan in my birth plans is that i requested the baby to be taken and cleaned up first rather than placed on my belly all yukky, thats the only thing they did lol
