Does it help the head engage more?

I use one. And i plan to use it during my labour too. I think it is supposed to help the head engage, that's what i've read on internet etc anyway. I know it deffo helps to encourage bubs into a good position for delivery and my MW reckons it can speed up labour too. x

I didn't use one, but I had back labour so the head midwife was in there with me telling me how to use it. You sit on it normally and roll your hips round or forwards and backwards. I was in too much pain to get on it at that point (about 8cm dilated) but maybe it's more comfortable before that! Hope that helps.
