i am shared care... technically it would be between the hospital midwife and the community midwife, but my GP's dont have a community midwife attached to their practise... so im 'shared' between the hospital (only for scans etc) and the GP who does my fortnightly checkups. so far its been just fine.. infact, i trust & like my GP so its been good.. he is very reassuring and attentive, so its all good!
your midwife sounds like a right miserable cow! think shes in the wrong job lol!

not quite the same but i havent seen the same MW since i found out i was pregnant, so i am having to explain who i am, and previous pregnancy problems etc

I never saw the same one twice either. I was in midwife led care but was under a "team" of midwifes. My appointments were primarily at the local hospital which did outpatient stuff, scans and the like, and the general midwife appointments were at the doctors surgery.

When I went into hospital, I never even saw one of my team. It is all a bit disjointed, but I wouldn't say if affected the care really.

Ps - the sample thing - I was told at the first appoinment to always bring a sample as the midwives are obsessed with peeeee.
