exhaution and over heating

I know we all get tired towards the end but I feel exhausted all the time. Physically and mentally. My body feels heavy and it takes me all my time to drag myself out of bed and my brain just doesn't seem to work like it should. For instance, I poured orange juice over my cerial this morning. Knew I was doing it but carried on pouring it. Totally mad.
Then at night, I've got a light quilt on, my bed is under the window and I have the window open yet when I eventually do fall asleep, I wake up within the hour sweating and have to go and have a cold wash down.
Please tell me I'm not the only one?

I feel totally exhausted all of the time, even bending over to pick some washing up from a basket leaves my heart racing, is this normal? Before i got pg, I was quite slim (size 10) and I think im finding the extra weight a struggle to deal with (put on over 2 stones so far) xx

oh im the same way; totally exhausted all the time. I hate air conditioning and I practically begged my hubby to put it on the other night (he did and I slept great for once) but its so wierd how our bodies react. I finally see light at the end of the tunnel!!

Yah, I was getting pretty exhausted too - and I can relate to the heat thing when sleeping too - I HATE the blankets - and I hate that I have to sleep with a pillow between my knees - way too hot!

There are lots of things that could cause the exhaustion, I think. Hormones, being larger, baby squishing lungs, not sleeping well, as well as things like anemia and gestational diabetes. Before I was diagnosed with GD, I would have fits where I would literally stop everything, bend my head, and snooze for a few minutes! Now I only do that when my blood sugar is too high - otherwise I have amazing energy back!

Not that you have GD, but it couldn't hurt to ask your midwife/OBGyn about it!

Yep I am the same, totally exhausted yet unable to sleep for various reasons such as getting too hot and sweating like you mentioned.
