My sprog has been 3/5 engaged for weeks now. From what I can tell the head may not fully engage until labour actually starts. My midwife commented that she thought it would take a couple of contractions for the head to fully engage.

its weird how diff country use diff ways, when i was preg with my son, (in canada)last month of my preg had to see doctor (who was also like a midwife) everyweek, she checked, weight, bloodpresure, baby heartbeat, pee and had to have internal everyweek, to check, if everything was o.k up there, and to see if i was dilating, which every week i was so by the time i was 40 weeks, i was 4cm delated, but he came 2 weeks late... My daughter (in england)was blood preasure, baby heartbeat, pee and kept saying head engaged head engaged....... I did ask for 2 sweeps as i was 1 week late, but came into this world just under 2 weeks late..

If its your first then baby can be engaged for quite a while before anything happens, my friend was engaged for about 2 months before she gave birth but then everyone is different. Hopefully you wont have to wait too much longer.
