Headphones on Tummy

Hi ladies, hope you are all doing well. Another question here...Sometimes at work I listen to music on my Ipod. I put one earphone in one ear and place the other in the waistband of my pants for baby to listen too.
Sine my job is rather quiet for long periods on end I try to give lil one something to stimulate their mind throughout the day....BUT...Do you think lil one can actually hear the music clearly? How do I know if the music is too low or too loud?

aww thats so sweet, such a cute idea

Im not sure what age the baby can hear, i think its around the 26 or 28 week mark, what sort of music are you playing? i played alot of James Blunt to Coby while i was pregnant, not throw headphones tho. and when he was born if he was restless i put it on and it would calm him down!

That's so cool, Colby recognises the songs! I'm listening to some of Madonna's old hits, the calmer songs, some India Arie and Shade... Definitely sticking with the calm music so as not to shock lil one.

Baby will defo be able to hear it, When i was pregnant with my first my oh listened to rave music all the time ( not the best for your baby but never mind) and when nicole was born and even now she loves to listen to it, in fact it used to be the only thing that would get her to sleep when she was about one!!! Its mad!!!

according to what i've read they can hear it and even react to your voice and OH's voice --by kicking or something-so ya i think she can== also supposedly the same stuff she listens to now will be really soothing to her when she's born --- it supposedly helps her sleep better and calm her
