grrrr!!


well really angry and upset, went to see my midwife today and all she dont was check bubys heartbeat and my blood pressure, she was supposed to give me information about breastfeeding and antenatal classes check list but didnt give me either i mentioned to her about the antenatal classes and she then informed me that its too late now! its our first baby so im pretty scared already.. i dont even know whats involved in antenatal classes :s

I've seen a lot of these posts about midwives not informing girls about antenatal classes and then when the girls finally ask it's too late! Do they secretly not want you to go or wtf? And even though you can't go to the classes, I've learned an unbelievable amount from this forum, so ask away, we can be your class! hehe

yeah iv noticed it aswell its worrying... i dont think they do want us to go lol. yeah when i first found out i was pregnant i didnt have a clue but the amount of stuff iv learnt from this forum is amazing

I found this with my MW...rubbish isn't it!? we've booked onto a NCT course instead...google them (i can't remember their website) coz altho they cost a fair bit if u have to pay full price they do offer discounts/pos completely free courses 4 various situations. Apparently the nhs ones r nafty pants anyway so ur not missing out x

I had a m/w like that with my first so I know what you mean she just expected me to know everything - its not what you need is it?
I also heard that the NCT ones are good so perhaps that could be an option for you.

give the hospital a ring they should have someone who organises the sessions.
ive got 4 midwives at my gp surgery and can see anyone of them, no continuity of care whatsoever!!!!
