... between a labour and a normal TENS machine? I dont understand why they say don't use in pregnancy but others do.

I think they're both the same and you're not supposed to use either on the lower back during pg (according to the MWs at my unit). Upper back maybe... but the midwives say there's a risk of them triggering contractions.

i can answer this as my midwife told me
the labour ones have a boost button that quickly boosts the surge for contractions
