So, looks like my placenta didn't move up :(

DAMNIT!! I really thought it would. Oh well, looks like I'll be having a planned c-section after all. I really wanted to avoid that with my bleeding disorder and all, but I keep being reassured everything will be okay. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I'll see what she says. My normal doctor just left on Mat leave, so I'll be seeing another one. They're all part of a high risk department, so I know I'm in good hands.

The thing is, my doctor told me they would just do a c-section a week before my due date, oh, but she also told me not to worry, and my placenta would move up, but I'm gonna see what the new doctor says. I'd much rather have it done earlier, just incase I go into labour, and I don't want an emergency one. My baby is still measuring over a week more than I am, soooooo.... I'm thinking 2-3 weeks early would be just fine with me!!!

I'm getting kinda nervous about the surgery. They all know about my bleeding disorder, but I'm still kinda scared. It's all gonna be planned out, and there are girls who do it all the time, but I just wanna get it over with.

Sorry Dukechick, I know you were hoping this wouldn't be the case

Oh well, I guess now you can look at the bright side (don't forget there are bright sides either way!). You can begin to look fwd to a date for seeing your LO - sooner rather than later!

Yesterday at my ante-natal class they covered c-sections - I am guessing with it being a "controlled environment" and all, they will know exactly what they are doing especially with regards to your condition.

xx

Hun i'm sorry about that. I also had this, mine didn't move until my 37th week. I attended a scan appointment that was booked at 32 weeks and it hadn't moved, i assumed that if it hadn't moved then they would give me a date at my next mw appointment. I was then told that they would re-scan me every 2 weeks until i was 36 weeks and then every week until 38 weeks.
Maybe you could talk to them about waiting, and having another scan in a few weeks? Looking back mine seemed to start moving at the time lo had started to enage, not sure if this was conincidence though...... Good luck though hun xxxx

it's understandable you will be worried and scared, but on the plus side knowing so early you can prepare your self, read up, pack appropriate items for your bag and you know where you stand and like you said you are in the best possible hands.

try not to worry yourself, at the end of the day all that matters is that both you and baby are happy and healthy.

xXx

Yep, lovely intact lady bits - definitely something to feel happy about . Sorry it didn't work out the way you'd have liked it to hun, but at least you know for sure now what is going to happen. And I can understand you being scared sweetie but they really do sound as though they're fully in control of dealing with your disorder. You sound like you've got a great medical team behind you.

Don't worry hun c-sections really are not that bad, I had one with my son and am having a scheduled one this time, I too am worried about going into labor before my date as they have scheduled me for the 24th which is only 3 days before my due date Try not to worry you'll have your LO in your arms before you know it and nothing else will matter!
