Pain relief at birth- epidural or not?

Hi ladies

Just wondered what you were all thinking about pain relief?

I am tempted to try and be as natural as possible but a little part of me thinks that I should be open to the idea of an epidural. x

Personally i am playing the whole thing by ear and not ruling anything out because you never know how things will go. I will ask the mw to let me know the latest I can have an epidural before its too late and make a decision based on how things are going. Thats just me tho, hope that helps.

You hit the nail on the head with the words 'being open' hun. Just go with the flow and take what you need at the time xx

I'd prefer not to have an epidural but being that baby is currently breech I won't be having a c-section without one, lol.

All you can do is keep an open mind and see how things go, Im having a C section so no worries here but if I was I would just play it by ear, take care XX

epidural epidural epidural.

im such a woose . i know they say the labour may take longer but i def will be calmer so figure thats the best way. i nthink towards the end of the birth they time it so you can feel the last bit. i might be wrong and this may not be in all sitution .

I had an epidural with my first and everything was fine, no problems with it at all. It was needed as my first baby was a back to back birth. With this baby like everyone else has said I am keeping an open mind. If I need it then I will take it, along with any other form of pain relief.
