i had an emergency c-section with maddi and found the experience ok; yes it took time to recover, but as long as you can take it slowly, and not over-do it, its not too bad and i was driving again by 4weeks. i will probably opt for another c-section for no 2 x x

I had an elective and it was by far no where near as bad as i thought it would be.

After 3 days i was pretty much A ok.

Just take all the painkillers they give you and keep on top of them.

I am terrified of my section/surgery, maybe cause it's gonna be more invasive than a regular section...and I'm really worried how I"m going to care for a newborn and a 1 year old at the same time afterwards...

I had an emergency section, wasn't too nice 'cause I'd laboured for a while and was tired, and started going into shock afterward, couldn't keep still, was shaking like crazy! That and the nurse forgot to replace my drip which was the thing stopping me going into shock... but that was more to do with the hospital I was in rather than a c-section itself. It took a while to recover, but at the time it was a 'must get him out' thing so I don't regret it
