lack of movement

So since this afternoon about 3pm (its 8:30pm now) I havent felt any movement. I feel loads of pressure down there but havent felt him move around like I normally do. Ive been drinking a soda to try to get him to move, but hes not really responding right now. Im gonna keep extra eye on it.

Does anyone else experience this at this point in their pregnancy?

last nite i noticed he was bein very quiet. i felt some movement but more like a nudge here and there. so i only slept for about an hour i was so worried. but right now he is having a dance party in my belly. i find that some days he will move constantly and others not so much. but of course i worry and freak out everytime! id keep an eye on it and call doc if you get real concerned! im sure everything is perfect! maybe he is just laying in a weird position

The very next day after my midwife told me to keep a close eye on movements and go to the day unit if they slowed down, the cub barely moved. Typical. BUT it was still moving, just not in the crazy way it normally does. I could hear the heartbeat and it was fine. And the next day it went back to normal (ie non-stop!). These babies have a weird sense of humour is all... If it doesn't start again soon call the MDU to check what they say.

I had this last week and went in to be monitored. It turned out he'd moved into a funny position and nobody had told me I have an anterior placenta so he was kicking against that.

The tips they normally give are:
- ice cold drinks
- hot drinks
- chocolate
- fruit juice
- lie on your left hand side for a bit
- have a walk and then lie on your left side
- have a bath

I also just tried poking and manipulating him in general, hehe.

I get days when I don't feel any movement and in the past couple of weeks his movements have definitely slowed down. Sometimes I sit at home and poke my belly to get him to move, as I worry so much.

Let us know how you get on and it won't do any harm to ring your midwife if you're in any doubt !

Thanks for the advice ladies!!! The little bugger finally moved when I put my home monitor on him to check his heartbeat....FIGURES!!!! he absolutely hates it when there are things put on my stomach.

He is so stubborn, i tried drinking soda, poking at him, laying down.....and it takes the monitor to get him to move.....LOL
