health in pregnancy grant and sure start maternity grant

well i sent off my forms for the sure start maternity grant last tuesday and i havent heard anything back from them... how long does it normally take for you to get your money??
also how many people have recieved their heath in pregnancy grant money?? i sent my forms for that off 3 weeks ago and havent heard a peep from them:s is this the same for everyone??

some ladies that were due in march/april aint had it yet ........ but they have started payin it out now, not sure bout the sure start mat grant tho, maybe give em a ring x

With my daughter i sent the pregnancy grant off at 29wks & didnt recieve the money till around 33wks (i also sent another form off incase they lost it).
Your best off doing recorded delievery if you can to make sure they get them.

well im not due till july sooo not really needing it urgently im more bthered about the sure start one cause i need to buy my pushchair etc :s

You should get a letter about the maternity grant, but I know that the health in pregnancy isn't being paid out until the end of May, or so they told me last week. I called them up last week as I sent the forms in on 12th March and I was told that I had been accepted but nothing was being paid out until the end of May, and that mine would start being processed on 16th May.

which grant do you mean lol i sent the healthy grant as recorded as you only get one fom for it but i never had any problems with the sure start grant last time so i just sent it off

surestart takes about 3 wks to come ...as for the HIP grant u have to just wait it out they have a bk log

i sent off my maternity grant and hipg forms ion the 28th feb due on 22/5 got my grant on 23/3 and my hipg 23/4 hope this helps
