Does anyone find it hard to find "nice" maternity clothes??

Went into town yesterday to find a nice outfit for a party next weekend...Came home in tears, with nothing. The stuff is horrible. Does anyone else find this? Designers seem to think just cus we're pregs, we have to look ugly! The clothes in my opinion seem really mature and quite conservative. And the worst thing of all is that shops don't seem to cater for short people like me. I'm only 4ft 11. Its hard enough finding decent maternity clothes with such a small range to chose from nevermind when you're so little. I literally have 2 pairs of maternity jeans in my wardrobe which i got from Dorathy perkins..they have petite! (well like 2 items to chose from)But i dont actually like either of these jeans and would never consider buying them but had no choice. And they still dont fit me properly. Dont know bout you ladies but i wanna be given some sort of choice when it comes to clothes and i want at least one outfit i actually feel good in whilst pregs. Its important cus we feel crap enough bout our appearence as it is..I think its about time shops where more considerate to us and also cater more for short and taller people. I know there are a few websites, but they're expensive. xx

i have found this too, i hate maternty wear, there are some lovely clothes but they are all really expensive, well i think they are anyway, considering your only going to be in them short term, so i end up buying the cheap packs of 2 of things and feeling shit.

eBay seems a good option sometimes ...

Ive grew out of some maternity stuff or they are damn uncomfy the DP jeans are AWFUL! I got them couple of weeks ago and plan on emailing them this week! I have found Im more comfy in normal clothes that are size or 2 up and are comfy but nice so maybe go and have a look at the clothes in ASAD, Tesco or Matalan (I need to again).

NEXT do petite in the MAT too I believe in certain towns (main ones).

Yep DP jeans are horrid!! They do not fit properly...I have a size 6...and they still fall down??? I'm usually about a 10, 8 if im lucky. And i have a huge bump so dunno whats goin on with them. They are uncomfy and i dont like the style or material. I look like like a sack of spuds. x

I've started wearing my pajama bottoms unless I know I'm going out at some point coz since the bump dropped, none of my trousers fit. I found that New Look maternity has some nice going out clothes for a reasonable price, also their trousers seem to fit quite well. Debenhams has a Red Herring Maternity section if you're looking for that something special, though they're not cheap. I've bought a few items that I thought were a bit expensive but I'm planning on putting all my maternity clothes in a suitcase once the sprog is here coz I'm hoping to have another one or two (though not for a while)
