thrush


I have a bad case of thrush and have been prescribed a pessarie but im worried about inserting it being 35 weeks pregnant, Is this safe? I have been getting sharp pains up there and wondering if this is the head engaging. Any ideas?

It should be fine hun, as Yvanne says.

Nothing worse than having thrush, I used to slap the Canesten on like there was no tomorrow..

Hope it eases soon x

You should be fine chick, i've been using it throughout my pregnancy and everything is fine. Doc wouldnt put you or your baby at risk. I get the shooting pains aswell, i think there normal. My midwife said it could be baby starting to engage or it could just be round ligament pains. Just avoid sudden movements. xx

I had to use a pessary for thrush after i'd given birth, I got some interesting stick contraption to do it with too lol. It is very small, not even like a tampon so I doubt you will even feel it.
