Hi girls,

I can't tell you much as there is not much info as yet. But Wobs has phoned me in a state, Megan is in the special care unit.

She went for the general check up with the peadiatrician today (which all babies have to have after birth), SC and his Mum took her. Well Wob's got a call minutes ago from SC saying "not to panic, but they need to run more tests (something to do with her breathing) she is now in the special care unit".

So Wobbles has gone straight to the hospital. There is a bed there for both of them for the night, so it may be a while before I hear anything.


As I get updates, I will update this post here.

1st update

Running tests. Most have come back OK but x-ray shows fuzz and 1 test shows an infection. Her rate of breathing should be between 40-50 hers is 60-70. Temperature is high but not overly and they may need to give her oxygen. Lumba puncture ruled out Meningitis tho!!

Both staying overnight with Megan and will know more in the morning!

2nd Update

Megan is on IV anti-biotics and as of 5am this morning when Wobbles went in to see her (as they were kicked out of the unit to get some sleep in a room on the hospital grounds) Megan is now on oxygen as she obviously needed the extra help.

Will know more a little later. x

3rd Update

Megan has been admitted for a minimum of 5 days for treatment for a chest infection. If it had of been left, it would have been serious.

4th Update From Wobbles x

Hi guys

We have nipped home for a refresh - we're pretty useless to Megan

Tams updated all that really needs to be said the 'fuzz' meant infection on the lungs found on x-ray. I was pretty scared and didn't know why (as in what was wrong but the whole waiting is it precaution is this going to be serious). I/we feel like we've lost a bond tbh I went to give her a feed at 5am despite the nurses kicking us out to sleep (for our best interest that was) which made me feel better to get a hug.

The good news if you can call it that is we have been told this morning had this not been spotted and treated it would have been (in his words) serious. So caught the start of it and its being managed quite simply because of that thankfully.

She will be in for 5 days min ...we have a private room in some side house off the childrens ward which was nice that we could both stay together too and Caitlin was with Nanny.

Rambling just feeling quite numbly seperated and coming home felt hard for us both with no Megan ...its like its not happened
