28 week growth scan......

so last thurs i had my 28 plus 3day growth scan. baby was snug and low down head first. they estimated 3lb 1oz at the moment.... just wondering if anyone else had one and what their estimates were??? from what i read this is about a week bigger than average....
i have had 2 big babies (10lb 11oz, and 8lb 11oz at 36 weeks), so far i'm just thinking maybe this one won't be so big so perhaps shouldn't be induced early??

so wondering what others estimates have been and how big their baby was in the end ??

From what ive read a 28 wk old baby is about 3lb so i would say yours is well on target for a not so huge baby

....My 28 wk growth scan is wenesday so we can compare then lol mine are all small babies xxx

we have the opposite prob!!!
I just don't want to induce a normal baby....... size wise i mean.. lol!! but i'm NOT giving birth to another 10lber!!! so eviction if she IS gonna be like her sister at 37weeks!!

lol my babies have been 5lb6oz 5lb10oz and 6lb3oz so think i am on target for a nice 7lber lol if she stays put like ive told her to

yes thats perfect,, can we order that!!!

i'd like 7lbs at 37 weeks and 1 day!! 19th May!!! not that i've planned it.... much!!!

and a 6 hr labour!! 10 min pushing!!

My baby was estimated at about 3 pound 11 at 30 + 5 weeks xx

Hi happymum just wondering if you requested a 28 wk scan or if they gave you one because of your history. They arent scanning me for growth til 36/37 wks so dont know if its worth pressing for an earlier one aswell. Would love to know if mines average size at this stage because, as you know, my others were big too x

At my 28 week scan my baby was estimated to be 2lb 13, and they told me that she was measuring big and they wanted to keep an eye on her and test me for GB. Yet, my mate went a few weeeks later, her baby was estimated at 2lb 12 and they said he was perfect weight?

I think it's aload of crap tbh! x

Hi Bubby
At my hospital they do 28 and 34 week growth scans, for women with history of large/small babies and women with high bmi. i def think its worth requesting one, as also if large at 28 weeks a GTT should be done!
