There was a news story last week saying that all childrens medicines like cough mixture for under 6's were useless and have been banned. As they can cause reactions,.

Best bet is that you can toggle calpol (infant paracetmol) and nurofen fr children as they have different pin killing agents.
A warm milky drink and paracetomal is the bext thing for a cough.

Il try and find that news story for you

I would def call. I have a 2 year old, 4 yo and 7 yo and don't give my kids any meds. Especially cough syrups. The only meds I give are what the doctors prescribe (antibiotics) or fever medication. im sorry I am no help at all Even though you read things might be o.k on sites information is so controversial that it's best to call a pediatrition or pharmacist. Pharmacist know best because meds are there area.

I don't give any meds especially now because of all the pulling drugs off the shelves.

hugs
