Has anyone had this during pregnancy? Basically it's when your kidneys become stretched or swollen so urine can't drain from them properly causing a blockage. There not sure whether this is caused by the baby putting pressure on the area or if i have kidney stones. They wont know until after ive had the baby...if the pains gone, it was frm the baby but if its stil there its stones which will be diagnosed via xray. Obviousilly cant have xray whilst am pregs! I've been in and out of hospital for Pethidine on nurmerous occasions cus the pains got so bad it made me throw up non stop. Because of this, I ended up getting a horrible kidney infection. I had antibiotics and its now cleared up. The pains are alot better,so i'm guessing the infection made the pain worse. But it is still there. The urologist said if the pain got so severe he wants to put a stent in to allow my kidneys to drain properly so i can be more comfortable. Whilst the pain is managable though im avoiding having one put in because i only have 9weeks left and would rather be treated after ive given birth if necessary. Am i doing the right thing? I dont really know what to do for the best. thankyouxxx
