Advice Needed Ladies...

Since 6pm tonight at tea time I have had sore tightenings every 5 mins. My mum and sister have timed them. My mum has even been feeling them and saying ooooo ur tummy is like a rock.

They are not agony-just uncomfortable and very frequent. I have been in the bath to relax but they are still coming.

I know they are not proper contractions as they aren't agony but what are they? They feel different to braxton hicks...

Also the bubs hasn't moved as much today and I am beginning to get a wee bit concerned bout that....

Sorry as you can tell I have no clue, with me being induced the last time I have no experience of what's "natural"...

Any help would be appreciated xxx

PS No show, no waters/leaks yet either

Hi Kx

My first contractions weren't that painful but then after a couple of hours they slowly got more and more sore.

Keep timing them so you have a "history" to give to the hospital, it might be worth giving them a ring anyway for advice. Didn't Rachie say she didn't know her's were contractions?

Good luck hun, sounds like it wont be long now.

I had these in early labour, really regular contractions, not full on but still there none the less. I was told after that this was Seren trying to move to the birth position (she was back to back). I know you have had back to back too, did you have these?? Also baby moves less prior to labour but I am obviously no midwife and I would say if you are at all concerned phone the labour ward and ask them what they think. They might ask you just to pop dow so they can examine you. This would give you ease of mind, don't want you sitting there worrying.

So exciting, this could be it hun!!!!! Keep us updated, and yes I mean I want a full account all the way through - you have a laptop don't you Thinking of you xxxx

I think they are contractions!

Mine started as pressure on my bladder at around 9.30 am - I only knew they were contractions because I was hooked up to the CTG machine.
We left the hospital at 10.45 and I was having mild, but noticeable contractions every 3 mins. They weren't painful until 12pm. My waters broke at 12.10pm and she was born at 12.45pm..............So i think your in labour!

Thanks ladies for the responses.

I have just walked round the close 4 times with Dale and the dog, they haven't got any worse or easier, so I am going to go to bed now and see where the night takes me.

I hope this is it tbh, but I dont think so.

Will keep you all posted

Love to you allxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good luck KX !! really hope this it it for you!

My labour started at 7pm in the evening at which point i didnt actually know it was labour, they were like painless tightenings which gradually got worse, by 2am i was on the way to hospital and was 3cm dilated.

Sending labour vibes your way !!!!! (((((((((((((()))))))))))))))

I think it sounds as if you're in labour, mine started off a few days before I gave birth and the pain started off as a bit annoying and nasty but I thought it was just braxton hicks. Get all the rest you can and I hope it all goes well for you.
