Hiya, I'm just back from my 34 week check up and I'm quite upset The sprog is not lying the way it should be, it's head is up and to the left - so it's not quite breech and not quite transverse. It's been doing a lot of shifting around recently but it needs to be in the head down position within 2-3 weeks or I loose my homebirth and get a c-cection - which I really don't want. I'm needing to know if there's anything I can do to get it to shift and soon, I'm worried it might get too big to turn soon as I'm now measuring 37 weeks

The problem is that I can only sit on the gym ball for short periods of time as I've got quite bad back ache. I'm trying lying down with a big pile of cushions under my bum - not an attractive sight I'm guessing lol.

Little sod's still moving about loads.

I agree, you do still have time. My firend's baby eventually moved at 37 weeks!! There are exercises you can do to encourage baby to move, if you google them it should come up with quite a few sites. Good luck - hope baby moves soon.

I know your back's bad, but can you kneel on all fours for a while? If you get down on your hands and knees and move gently (sort of as if you were scrubbing the floor), then bubba should be able to move round a little easier. My mw told me to do this with Kayleigh.

My MW said they can move round by even 28 weeks I thought it was wayyy later in the 30th weeks until recently.

Silly Q but the sooner the bubs moves from breech the more likely to be on time/early?

Marley - C-section because of how big you measure?

Nope, c-section coz the sprog is oblique breech (at a funny angle), it keeps switching from transverse to breech and 2 weeks ago was head down. I think it's got too much space to move about in. I could well just be big coz of the amount of water, it's certainly not all baby.
