Sick of heartburn

Im getting it soooo bad, its horrible and i want it to go away

I have it right now after being woken up from sleep yet again with it and its making me feel sick

My heartburn has returned from a short hiatus with a VENGEANCE; woke me up at 4am twice this week already, I had a Rolaids soft chew each time but woke up in the morning with the most awful after taste imaginable.. can't wait for the heartburn to go away, I never had it in my life even once before getting pregnant, I really feel for people who get it all the time!

I'm in the same boat, but it has seem to ease up a little bit!! cant wait for it to be gone!!

You must be having a hairy baby lol.

I can empathise with you completely, it is horrible, I have it at the moment like fire in the back of my throat and it really hurts and I don't have any mylanta tablets left at work to chew on.

When it gets bad it makes me vomit, it is just terrible.

I woke up twice during the night last night with it. It was so bad I could have vomited.

Got my trusty gaviscon next to the bed though, so I was swigging away at that! This stuff I have is 'gaviscon advance' and is much thicker than my usual stuff. Makes it hard to swallow, but it works.

Im fed up with it. Im going through gaviscon like there's no tomorrow but its no good.

There is a tablet your doctor can give you. Its wrote in my hospital notes but i dont have them to hand at the moment. Ill check tonight when i get home and let you girls know. The midwife said its the last resort if all over the counter stuff doesnt work. Im going to ask for it next week when i see her.

i had it before i went to bed last night, i turned round on my other side and it went away, MW gave me gaviston, but its the aniceed (sp) one and it stinks so im not trying it lol

Urgh, the aniseed one is VILE!!

Peppermint all the way. It's not particularly nice, but when I'm in pain and it helps, I'm kinda past caring whether it's tasty or not
