IMHO pretty pointless cloths to stop babies sick going everywhere, bibs and face cloths work just as well and are much cheaper

Most people say they are invaluable! You can use them for all sorts. They are more absorbent (and bigger) than bibs so go further between washes. Some babies will suck on them to soothe their mouths when teething too. They aren't expensive and are eco friendly, unlike disposable baby wipes.

I loved muslin squares - got some left over from first baby and got a few more. Chuck 'em over your shoulder when you're burping the baby or use them to mop any mess up, fantastic!
