Herpes HPV Cold Sores and Babies

Hi ladies,

I am worried, read on BBC news about the 11 day old baby girl who died after contracting HPV virus off her mum and possible cold sore (kissing and breasfeeding). its so awful. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...infection.html
Of course I am now shitting it as I get cold sores regular.

Anyone else read this and know anything about it
Jade xx

I'd never heard of this until this tragic story yesterday.

JMS - as you suffer regularly, it may be worth speaking to your GP.

It is extremely rare and very unlikely to repeat itself. Please do not worry about this unduely. It is so unlikely to happen that this was just a freak but tragic thing.

My sympathies are with the family xxx

She is getting there Jade. Thanks for asking hun. Her jaundice looks better every day but we need to tackle this feeding issue. They have prescribed me Domperidone to increase my milk flow xxx

Yeah we don't need anything to panic about more than we have already as mums xxx
