possible pre-eclampsia

Evening all

For last week I have been back and forward from day unit for monitoring 3 times already for possible pre-eclampsia at 31 week app last week bp was high but settled after half an hour, high white blood cell count and urate levels? these have started to creep up and now detecting trace of protein in urine and have really bad odema as bp still fine theyre not too worried but advised that I need to attend day unit twice a week and see the consultant on tue to discuss steroid injection to develop babys lungs 'just in case'

Hoping its just monitoring and precaution but were starting to get our heads together that bubs might be with us sooner than expected. Anyone else in a similar boat and went full term with no further complications?

If it helps you i had very similar problems from about 30 weeks, was constantly monitored and in and out of the day unit. I was induced at 35 weeks exactly due to confirmed pre eclempsia but sadly i hadnt had the steroid injection for babys lungs as after 34 weeks they wont do it...I was very poorly in the end hence why he was delivered but please rest assured they only do this if it is absolutely imperative, they will do everything their powers to keep baby inside you...i gave birth as i sadi at 35 weeks and tommy was in special care for 2 weeks due to not being able to breath on his own and jaundice, he is absolutely fine now and has been all the way through, hes a might 23lb now and youd never know he was a premmie!!
If you have any questions you wanna ask then fire away or pm me, im on here most days...my biggest pieces of advise are, get your bag all ready, just incase but PLEASE try and rest as much as you can, i REALLY underestimated the importance of this and still to this day think i could have kept him in longer if only id have taken it a bit easier

good luck

h x

I had to be induced at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia.. don't know many cases that have gone full term though.
